Wanna keep 'em up there? You can even get your sectional published with a huge white circle! Wouldn't that be special? :)

NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

He lived here one summer in his youth when he was still drinking......

Back then we could still fly when he was here:mad:

Let's see. I understand that the FAA has a goal of having 50% of the pilots in AK certificated. Exactly how many do they expect to see this NOTAM? This could be interesting, and not in a good way.

I sent a note to the paper and called a radio talk show to point that out. What else you want me to do? We fly for real here, it ain't a hobby!

Ya...well try this on for size...

Landed the other day at KHOU, and our facility is on taxiway ROMEO. Also on ROMEO is a ramp area used by various pro teams when they come into town.

In this case, we were told to taxi onto CHARLIE, and hold short of Rwy22. We sat there for almost 15 minutes while Obama's plane unloaded in that previously described location.

They wouldn't even allow us to taxi PAST his 757 while he was still in the vicinity. At no point would we have gotten closer than about 100 yards to his aircraft.

Should he be elected, I hope this is not an indication of how overly sensitive they are about GA.... or creating TFR's (or in this case a TTR ;) )

They, being the FAA nd SS are overly sensitive. Living in the Chicago area I am not looking forward to the flight restriction we will get if Obama gets elected. It is bad enough for the poor souls in Texas with Bush and Crawford. But Chicago is a very populated and busy GA airspace. If that same type of TFR get put over the Obama household it will shut down many flights.

True. The big white circle in Texas covers only a half dozen Class D's and more.

Then again, Chicago deserves some similar treatment. :)

By the way, how would you do insets of Skyvector here? That would be a neat feature.

It's not just GA. The SecDef was in Boston a couple few weeks ago on one of the executive 757s. They had it parked at the South Cargo ramp, about 1/4 mile from where we turn into our parking ally. Nevertheless, we got held short of our ally for 37 minutes until the motorcade had left the airport. We were one of nine planes in the inbound line up, with about a dozen more stuck on the ramp waiting to leave. The SS ain't kidding.

Folks, these people are not that important. Our country will go on with or with out them. They get elected and appointed not coroneted. The people need to take back control of our government.........

yea right:rolleyes:
