A friend sent this to me this morning. I failed - didn't recognize the "where" even tho I spent 6 months there. In my defense, my view was out the side window, not the front.

Unless we can see the panel or get some type of hint as to how many engines it has chances are slim that anyone will figure it out.

The where is easy....for me at least (stationed there for 5 years). It is the approach to 10 at NGU (Norfolk Naval Air Station).

The what.....on first glance....could be either a P-3C or a C-9.

Actually, on second thought, and further review of the photo.....I'm going with C-130

Winnah! C-130 approaching NAS Norfolk. Friend of mine recently moved into the Flight Engineer's seat.
My last landing at NGU was in 1980.

So, here's my question....USMC, USN, USAF or ANG?
Last time I was in the cockpit of one was as a kid in the 80's.

It is obviously not a modern J model.

As Greg was in the USN, I would guess Navy.

C130H from 302 Airlift Wing (Air Force) out of Peterson AFB, CO.

Every time I fly it's Pilot Jeopardy.
