I should have also mentioned, "guess the mission". Regretably I forget my conversation with the aircrew. Have you ever seen leading edge devices like that?

I think Maddog is right - it appears to be an E-6 TACAMO. It could be another -135 variant, but the TACAMO is the only one I've seen with wing tip antennas like that and the paint scheme seems to match. I know this - it is not an RC-135.
