GTN6XX <-> GTX335

I've got a Cessna 182 with a GTX 335 positioned over on the far side of the copilot's panel. It currently has its own GPS antenna for WAAS position. I'm considering upgrading to WAAS approach capable (used) GTN635 for GPS/COM. I'll use the WAAS antenna, then send position data to the transponder via RS-232. I also see that the GTN can control the GTX335.

Can a single RS-232 connection between a Garmin GTN6XX send WAAS GPS data as well as control the GTX335?

Yes, you'll need a single shielded 3 wire connection between the two units, and that will provide both the position source and remote control to the GTX.
