Grumman Question

Sure you just can't post anything about your plane on the Grumman Gang email net...you can't post about Grumman amphibians, trucks or canoes either.

I saw a beautiful Grumman Goose at Lake Hood. Wow, it was perfect. Not a floatplane, but an actual flying boat. I also saw a PBY at the museum there in much need of restoration but still spectacular.

according to the website they're trying these on C-130's, too.

Wonder if we will ever see that desin for GA? Sure beats q-tips for the cool factor and I'llwager there is a gain in efficiency

Sure are cool looking.
I know that some European light planes now have 5 blade props to meet their stringent noise regs.

Nope not quite, the c-130-J has the dowty, it was also tried on the P-3, but wing beam aircraft age did not allow the upgrade.

The C130J model has been around for a couple years with the AE2100/dowty system, I wonder why the switch?
