I have some interest in doing some curated ground instruction. I prepared using written study guides and actually trying to learn the material and was issued the AGI today.

I had one instructor that had a checklist of topics that he used and recognized the improved organization and accountability it brought to both of us during the process.

I'm searching online and poking through some of the CFI focused lesson plans, which have a lot about flying, with an eye towards ground specifically and was wondering if folks had any suggested resources for grounds specifically.

Take all of your writtens using ShepardAir.

You’ll need to take the FOI, AGI, and IGI if you want all of the Ground Instructor Ratings.

The heavy lifting ground instructors do, where the online programs don’t quite do all of it

Cross country planning

Weight and Balance

Mock checkride oral

Correcting any written questions missed

Most of the other stuff it’s just easier and more convenient for students to use one of the many online programs

If you want bullet points and a horrific read, just go through the ACS/PTS

Appreciate that advice and feedback.

I “like” the math bits. I’d need work to be useful for a mock private oral.

Pick a textbook and model a syllabus after it so the student can follow along.
