And I think your spaceship knows which way to go.

Can you hear me Major Tom?

Can you hear me Major Tom?

Ive never heard anyone with a more unique sound than David Bowie.

RIP

Wasn't a huge fan, but wow. Hard to believe and even weirder to hear he was 69.

Saw him in concert in the 90s. One of the better shows I've seen. No warm up band either. It was all him.

And a very generous soul. I'll always remember the story of how he gave Mott the Hoople the song "all the young dudes." That song saved them...for a while at least.

Your circuit's dead, there something wrong.

r.i.p

So fitting....

When I lived in Orlando for 12 years,,, I watched literally every space shuttle launch.. And the local radio station played this song just before each launch.......

So long the thin white duke :(

In memoriam, listening to Ziggy Stardust right now.

Apple Music has a "2012 Remastered Version" that sounds great!

His pop stuff in later years did not grab me, but Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory remain seminal works that helped form my appreciation for rock and roll.

Lou Reed and David Bowie both gone now, leaving feelings of appreciation, loss and intimations of mortality.

So it goes...

There's two threads about Bowie, anyway they can be combined into one?

When the Challenger blew up they played We could be heroes. A true visionary.

Is that the same song he performed at the concert for NY after 9-11?Love that song (on my iPod) and so appropriate in both those situations. RIP David.

I really liked him, and his music since the late 60's. :(

RIP David Jones.

His last music video, just released a few days ago. Bizarre to the very end, and amazingly honest.
