Does anyone know why Chicago Center has control of Grissom Approach airspace at the moment?

Kokomo in the area had a tornado flatten a Starbucks from what I heard. Probably related.

That was earlier this afternoon. Two additional tornados in the Kokomo area just passed through. Saw a report that one was a mile wide wedge. Appears to be dissipating now.

Several Tornados in the area this afternoon, including one that was bearing down on Grissom, and missed it by only a couple of miles. Center probably took over when the GUS controllers got the hell out of there.

Thanks! Didn't realize they had evacuated but it makes sense now. Saw the damage on the news last night. Here's the Starbucks referenced by 455 Bravo Uniform: https://weather.com/news/news/kokomo-indiana-tornado-starbucks-destroyed
