I've used Plexus and some Meguiar's cleaner/polishes before, but on the recommendation of some guys over on VAF, I bought some Brillianize cleaner/polish. The stuff is amazing! You use very little per application, so 32 oz. will probably last the life of the plane. No smearing/smudging...the stuff flat out works...crystal clear windscreen/canopy with very little effort.

Not really a scratch remover, but a cleaner. It has a slight bit of polishing action.

I got a sample of Plane Perfect's Eyes Outside cleaner. I really like it. One of their better products.

WashWax, pledge, Plexus, spit..... All work just fine. Spit smears a little though.

This topic goes on and on and on and on.......
Brillianize is the best I've found. Wipes quick, leaves clear surface. Plexus has to be rubbed and rubbed and rubbed to get rid of all haziness. Others have chemical make up that changes over time and may not be suitable for plexi. Use what plexi people suggest not what forums tell you. Things change and they don't know....

I've been using Brilliance for the past 10 years, I agree it's very good stuff.

Another vote for Brillianize. Can't remember if I got the recommendation here or on mooney forum, but it's good stuff. And much, much cheaper than anything else I've tried (Prist, Plexus).

I have a squirt bottle full of plain (plane?) water that I spray the windshield and leading edges down with. Let that sit for 5-10 minutes, and the bugs usually just wipe off. I follow up with the brillianze to take the greasy bug gut film off.
