Great GA story

Cool!

Until he retired there was a shop teacher at a nearby school who had his class build an airplane a year. The kits were supplied by a donor who would get all the labor for free from the students.

Everyone loved the class but when the teacher retired the school decided that the risk was too high to keep the program going. Damn risk adverse excuses ruined a good thing. I think they did that mostly to cut the budget for shop and then give the superintendent a higher salary for her prudent actions.

That is really freaking cool, Adam. I wish we had something like that around here when I was a kid. I probably would have started flying sooner if we had!
