I agree. A restoration (with its normal definition) will be impossible. Pretty neat find, though.
 
Hey, jacking up the data plate, sliding a new plane underneath it, lowering it back down and logging the "repairs" is a time honored tradition in the antique airplane world... :eek2:
 
I read the article, and like others I thought it was a neat find.

Then I was a bit dismayed that it was found a while ago and the article seemed to turn into what appears to be a press release asking for money with some factoids to make it not so obvious; similar to the yearly Amelia Earhart discoveries.

I doubt that's known by most of the people from whom they're seeking money to "restore" a piece of history.
