Was supposed to take a short flight to visit some relatives and take the kids for a spin. Weatherman said no to that, marginal vfr ceilings and rain, not fun for the kiddos. But it was perfect for some ifr practice. No turbulence, ceilings weren’t too low. First approach into Kissimmee (never been there) the tower says “last guy said he went down to minimums, let us know what the base is if you get in”, so I’m figuring I’m probably going around. But I popped out at about 600 feet on a mile final. Easy Peazy. The new plan was to take one of them (an adult) from Kissimmee to sanford (another new airport for me) to catch a commercial flight. 13 minutes flight time in imc over Orlando. A definite stretch for me to be prepared for approach that quickly after takeoff while in the soup. Spent more than an hour total in imc. Good times.
