Great Day at Work

Had a trip to Niagara Falls. Passengers asked if we could go over the falls on the way out. Who am I to deny the paying customers requests? Asked the tower and they said no problem, they would coordinate it with aproach for us. After takeoff we were cleared to 4000 ft and told "cleared to orbit the falls, just let us know when you want to continue on course". What a spectacular view!

The "Falls Orbit" is posted in the US and Canadian AF/D as a VFR maneuver at a lower altitude. I think it is 3500MSL?? I'm sure ATC gets that request on a regular basis.

When I was in Rapid City, always asked for the "Rushmore" arrival for pax, coming up from Denver you could get Crazy Horse and Rushmore on the way in.

3500' is correct. i read through the VFR procedures first, but when i asked the tower while i was picking up my clearance if i should depart VFR and then pick up my IFR in the air, they said don't bother, they could work it out for us.
