That is a heck of an area to lose GPS.
Those guys at Eglin shoot real bullets if you wander into the wrong area.
 
Be looking for flight following ,when in that area.

Eglin has a test wing that tests weapons there. Just about every aerial weapon in the Gulf War and ongoing wars now were tested at Eglin. That's the main mission at Eglin. A lot of other stuff goes on there so I'm sure it's needed or they wouldn't be doing it. Price of freedom.

Served 4 years there in ATC, cool place, like an airshow every day.

I don't really know. Could be related to a weapon they're testing but I don't know that. Sorry.
