GPS add on to ACK E-04

I have a Garmin 18X PC GPS ordered to interface with my E-04 ELT. Can anyone steer me to the correct configuration software for the GPS. I'll need to set NMEA output and the baud rate. I have found what appears to be upgrade software but nothing for configuration yet.
