So, in the deferral letter, it says I have 60 days from the date of the letter to provide all sorts of info.
The thing that's really alarming to me is the part that says "legal action" will be taken against me. Am I going to be arrested if I can't provide all the documentation they requested? Some of the stuff I might not even have access to. I also got a pilot bill of rights attached to it and it also says some alarming stuff about anything I say will be used as evidence against me. What the hell is going on?

Your AME should be able to answer the questions about what you need to submit.

And I'm not a lawyer, and without having the exact text in front of me it's hard to know, but is the legal action stating that you are grounded until submitting what they need? They aren't going to do anything to you unless you fly solo before you get approved, or unless you lied on the medical application.

But show the letter to your AME and they will help you out.

You really shouldn't post that on the open internet for the whole world to see. But... don't worry, it means they're going to refer it to the legal team to formally deny your medical.

If you don't provide everything they're asking for or if it's not to their satisfaction, they WILL deny your medical.

It's likely after hours which is why your doctor is not answering the phone. For #1, can you contact the court to see if they have records of the event? I think for #2 you will have to write up detail answering their questions, and for #3 you likely will have to see a specialist to make a diagnosis to satisfy their request. I bet your AME can make a referral.

I'd also delete that attachment above since it has personal info on it. There are (at least) two well-qualified doctors on this board who can weigh in with more informed opinions.

Luckily you can fly with a CFI in the meanwhile, but will not be able to solo until this is resolved. I truly wish you luck.

If your regular AME is not able to help to your satisfaction, come back on this board and ask for Dr Fowler or Dr Bruce Chein who specialize in these types of cases. Best of luck to you.

Legal action: that just means if the AME issued a certificate, the FAA is going to take it back. And yes they will eventually call the Marshall Service. If your AME did NOT issue a certificate, "there's nothing here, boys...."..and it appears he did NOT.

She did not. I'm using my GI bill and I'm scared to waste it on a pilot license I can't use because I fail to get my medical clearance. Any advice?
