Nope. And precisely for the reason you mention... WHO would do that?!!

secondly, can’t really listen to two people at once. The LSO, guy on deck watching you, is who you need to pay attention to.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot "porn 'stache" goin on? Is that some kind of tradition while training or something ?
 
We always grew one when carrier qualifying. And on cruise... I once grew out the side burns and eyebrows as well. My claim to fame? Handle bar eye brows!! Beautiful and unmatched! Ha!
