Another Saturday and the temps have cooled off. Time to head for the airport and see if your plane is still there!

EAA breakfast time!

Get out there and do it!

Obama's TFR has shut down EAA106's Young Eagles, their Light Sport Aircraft fly-in, and the pig roast at 5pm today. The good news is it has all been rescheduled for tomorrow. WINGS credit can be had at the LSA seminars.
See the flyers at the EAA106 website for more details.
PS: Since it is pouring out right now, the weather would have beaten out the TFR anyway.

Had to drive (!) to Houston, so cannot go fly. So all y'all go fly a little extra to make up for me, ok?

Chapter 690 flew about 55 or so kids today. I don't know the exact number, but the last two kids I escorted out to the flightline were #52 and 53, and there were at least two more after that. As for me, I got to do some hangar flying, and I even got to sit in the back seat of a Comanche as it was taxied over to its hangar. ;) I'm not sure what my pro-rata share of fuel was for that trip, but I was told not to worry about it.

After that, lunch at the Flying Machine, and now back at home. As soon as the wife leaves for the bridal shower she's going to, I'll pull the new dishwasher out of the box and try to get it installed before she gets home. She'll be VERY happy if I'm able to pull this surprise off. :D

Flew to KAZO from KTDZ (1.2 on the hobbs) Went to the Air Zoo they have there. www.air zoo.org Nice facility and no ramp/landing fee!

Final total was 57.

FINALLY got to go work out my Bonanza, engine was new when i purchased it, so WOT and flying low is all I've been doing.. After my A&P confirmed the cylinders were broken in, We got 2 hrs in of stalls, steep turns, landings etc.. Should be complex/hp endorsed tomorrow and cleared to solo in it. Then have to burn off 5 hrs solo before PAX for my insurance. Hopefully my wife will be with me next weekend and we can make a San Juan Islands run.

P.S. Power on stalls are a non-event. But, After stalling a Cherokee for the past 2-3 years... The power off stalls in the Bo are an eye opening event.
