Oscar approached me at the FBO in Tulsa today and asked if the shiny 180 belonged to me or if I belong to it.
After sitting down to chat for a while, he told me all about the Garrett-powered Aerostar, what he will do differently on the next one and also told me more than I've ever known about all of the US manufacturer's attempts to adapt piston twins to single-engine turbines. The plane is here in Tulsa but I didn't have time to go see it, hope to so at another time.
He's a very successful guy (designed and sold more than 7000 Taylor boats followed by drilling rigs and other oilfield machinery) and is wealth of knowledge on the conversion game.
