Google Glass review

I've seen pictures before and read descriptions but today I saw my first live footage of someone wearing them and giving a full description of what they are about.

If you'd like to chime in on this please at least watch the segment of the video dealing with Glass. It's the first thing they talk about after the intros so it shouldn't take too long to get through, especially if you're into this sort of thing...

Absolutely agreed. I used to be an early adopter of everything, but anymore I just don't have the time or patience.

When the 2nd gen of production Glass comes out (and the 2nd version of the 2nd Gen software), then I'll jump. I am tired of being a free beta tester for tech companies' stuff.

There needs to be a way to interact with it without touching anything. Ie follow where you look, blink to click, etc...

The apps I've seen (checking your calendar, checking Facebook, taking pictures, etc) are not that exciting.

I want to see GPS moving map, terrain alerts, checklists, etc!

According to the review I linked the maps app knows which way your head is pointed and gives you left right turn instructions. They did express the need for more apps. The way I understand it though, glass is not available to the public at this time. The units out there are for developers only for the purpose of writing those apps.

I guess a few bloggers have them too to review.

when they run xcsoar I'll have to buy one. Other than that I have no desire or use for them.
