Goodbye Jake

Thank you, everybody. I did not mean to steal the thread, my apologies. But dogs are just so darn cool, I couldn't help myself.
SkyDog, our Mr. Oliver didn't look much different than your Jackson, small world.
As long as we give them a great life and love them (back), I think there should be no regrets. I got to pet my dog the morning before he went to his "furever" sleep. I am glad I did. I scratched him between his ears, which he liked, and he squinted his eyes ... I have that imprinted in my memory now and it will stay there forever. (wife didn't get to pet him, she is jealous of me)

I was horrible when ours died. I held them wrapped in a blanket all day and wouldn't allow the family to bury them until they were very cool. I didn't want to take any chance they were still alive. I know, they had been given the shot by the vet, and confirmed gone. It's not rational.:( We had two, died a year apart both 17. We're not getting another.top of mountain.jpg
