Pre-takeoff checklist
So I'm driving in to work this morning, it's just after sunrise, and it's a beautifull day... wish I could have gone flying, but the company actually requires me to show up in order to get a paycheck... but anyways..
I work about 4 miles from Marana/Avra Valley. As I'm headed up I-10 to the office, I see a rather large airplane coming out of the pattern. At first I thought maybe it was a C130 out of Pinal Country airpark, but as I get closer a familiar shape begins to appear... Could it be... yep, it's a DC-3... but wait, it's painted like a C-47, cool... and what's that sticking out the side?? Looks like gun barrels... those are gun barrels...
Cool... someone has themselves an AC-47, either they've replicated one, or the real thing.
The airplane circled AVQ a few times then headed off north, my guess is a photo mission.
So, any guesses on who owns a Spooky??
