Today at 18:00 CET the USA will take on Czech Republic in their first round of group play for the World Cup. If they win this will be team USAs first win on European soil for a World Cup match. They did really very well last World Cup and were able to get out of group play into the elimination rounds.

This go around they have an even better team with a lot of players that not only just played on the MLS league but several who have gone on to play in the prestigious Euro-league clubs such as Einhoven and Manchester United.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The US team has been very good in the Preliminaries - The Czechs are no pushover tho - and in the early group stages, you really need to avoid a defeat. A draw would be good for the US, a win would pretty much ensure at least a 2nd place spot in the group and a game against Brazil...barring any upsets.

C'est la guerre :(:(:(

0:3 Czech Repub. wins

Knew it would be bad when in the first 5minutes Czech scores.

The US just did not look like they were there to play.

Well they know get 5 days to get their act together before their match with the Italians. That should be "interesting"

Uh yea i took off work to watch that game

Im VERY upset!!! The US had possesion most of the time but just wasn't pushing to score or attack. I didnt like their game plan at all!! Even after the half nothing much changed up.

What a waste of time

GO ITALY!!!! :)
