- - by way of Portland, Maine. Here's the new ship which only a few days ago made its maiden voyage to Portland's International Marine Terminal.
While waiting for departure, get a seagull's eye view of Portland(if the dear bird is having a Kendall Jackson moment at Top of The East, the 15th floor of the fabulous new WESTIN Hotel{formerly the Eastland Hotel}).

I've been to Nova Scotia 3 times. Twice on the MS Caribe and once during the last year of the THE CAT. I had been planning a return trip last October which would have been an all road trip since last year, there was no ferry.
A lot of New Englanders settle in Nova Scotia, and indeed, a lot of US live there. The climate is fairly moderate since it gets fed off the gulf stream. They do get our cast off weather.
It is a nice place to visit.

- - - anyone who'll book onto Nova Star, contact me and we can meet at Top Of the East(see Image #4, above). The new WESTIN Portland Harborview Hotel is the result of a $50,000,000 transformation of the old Eastland Hotel. While there on Easter Sunday I photographed a couple airliners on Final(probably) to KPWM. From my 15th floor window, the last shot had the airliner, seemingly, at treetop level before it disappeared.
Spectacular WX! Driving to Portland , at one time there were as many as six contrails observed high up there. All headed into KPWM not likely because they were already too close - too high for standard Approach -- most probably en route from Europe to Boston/NY-NJ.

Looks beautiful, I should go sometime.

BTW, what is a Kendall Jackson moment???
