I thought she did a great job. Just a little bit performey, but not too much. She can belt out a tune.
The local paper this morning said she got the invitation on Monday, I forget which day she flew back into town.
The paper had a push a couple weeks ago to get local performers to sing the National Anthem - she was the top vote getter, along with a couple of jazz singers that are nationally known. But MLB and Fox have a much greater say in who gets the nod than everybody realized, so we got Trisha Yearwood and Phillip Phillips for Games 1 and 2.
Once the games came back to KC we were able to put the KC Symphony out for Game 6 and Joyce DiDonato up for 7.
