Jeppesen is offering a special deal at OSH: buy a year's update subscription, and they'll throw in the Skybound G2 programmer free. This sounded like a good deal to me, so I snagged one.
There's only one gotcha: it, and version 2 of the Jeppesen Subscription Update Manager, work on Windows XP and Vista but not Windows Server 2003. Guess what I run (under protest) in my Windows virtual machine on a Mac?
Apparently, there's some sort of a driver conflict. The symptom is that the updater will hang while talking to the card. It can do this at any point in the process. I got mine to work by rebooting a couple of times and trying again, but Jeppesen tech support says the only real fix is to run XP or Vista.
