I have a 430/530 WAAS combo, I added the G600 Txi and S-tec 3100. No issues on first couple flights, I updated the G600 database and the 530 showed a database error. I removed the data card and downloaded the data card again with a fresh download from Jeppesen. It worked fine, then after about 30 minutes the 430 showed the same error code. I removed and updated the 430 card after I landed.
On start up coming home, 530 shows database error again, I removed and reinserted the card and it worked fine for about 30 minutes and I pulled the card again and it was fine.
Has anyone had this type of issue? I thought maybe a card was damaged, but pretty unlikely that both would go bad?

What color database cards do you have? If you have the orange ones you may need to update the Garmin 430/530 software. The error message suggests a problem with the data card being read properly.

or reformat the card as no card is 100% stable. I just had to do that for both of my terrain database cards.

One orange, one silver I believe. I’ll check on the software update. Thanks

Thanks Bruce, I’ll Garmin tech support.

The mix of orange and silver cards might be part of it, so definitely check if there's a software update for your Garmin.
Thanks, it’s the same two cards that I’ve used for 3 years?
