I gave up Spin Zone to avoid putting others down.

What have you given up?
Why?

This year I've chosen to take on some additional prayer for some specific people. It also has the effect of refocusing my own thoughts...

I gave up Catholicism so I don't have to give up anything for lent.

(Just kidding, I'm Protestant, so it doesn't apply to me anyway. An added benefit is I don't get hate mail from the IRA.)

Not Catholic either, but it just seems like a good idea. Sort of like New Year's resolutions, but with a shorter duration and at a better time of the year.

I'd like to give up shoveling snow.

:-(

I don't do New Year's resolutions either. It doesn't seem like a "good idea" to me. I'm all for making commitments for bettering ones self (or others) and sticking with them, but not just for some specific unrelated reason.

But I respect those that sacrifice for lent. Carry on.

Gave up in participating in lent . I would rather live a good live and try to do good deeds, than to give up something for a short period of time.

I am actually gibing up lint.
I got a lint brush. F that S

I invited the Easter Bunny over for dinner. He was delicious. :D

He gave up his all.

Happy belated Easter to all.

I went to catholic school for 12 years and haven't been back in achurch except for a wedding or funeral since... Going to catholic school pretty much both screwed me up (now you know) and destroyed my desire to participate in any organized religion.

I'm a member of no organized religion, I'm a Unitarian.

I gave up celibacy for Lent back when I was a catholic.
