um, if you are in San Diego why did you even put the bike away?

Been that time for a long time dude. I live in the frozen north and I've had the Goldwing out.

If you must know, I was having issues with the fitment of my prosthetic that made riding painful - that seems to have subsided.

That said, we live in a canyon that takes a direct sea breeze (ocean is less than 2 miles away as crow flies) and it gets into 30's-40's overnight which, for San Diego, is cool. My ride to my client's facility is along the ocean and is also in the 40's to low 50's when I ride in in the morning, at 75mph - with that windchill and humidity close to the ocean it gets cold, maybe I am spoiled. ;^)

I rode that canyon year round. Used to freeze my cajones off coming back from my girlfriend's house (didn't have a windshield or decent gear in those days).

You can just admit you're a wimp and get on with it. Nice bike though.

Nice ride, that's always been one of my favorites in that class of bike.

Which year is it 1988,or 89

Unfortunately I started riding after I moved out of California, but it seems like a great state for owning a motorcycle.

Good to hear the prosthetic is not as much a problem.

Forgive me for poking fun at the San Diego "cold"... One February we were on a business trip to La Jolla. We were wearing our business suits and enjoying the weather even though it was in the upper 50's. We had to laugh at the coeds walking to class in their Down jackets, mittens, and scarfs.
