Getting my oil checked in Sydney

How do they go about cleaning your windshield?

Oh, I forgot...nobody does that for you any more.
Hope they at least replenish the washer fluid. :)
 
Speaking of Sydney, one time on a Quantas flight from there back to SFO the 747 had a problem with one of the engines. I was sitting up front in business class watching the flight crew and maintenance people shuttle in and out of the cockpit. The captain was a woman. The FO was a man.

All of the announcements were made by the FO only. Finally, the end result was "I believe I've found a way around the problem" as in, like, WTF, is it fixed or not? I'm guessing the problem was with some electronics on the flight deck, because the "way around the problem" arrived in a small cardboard box to the flight deck.
 
Yep, the other Sydney. Both radar units had failed on the flight down from Honolulu and I wouldn't take the plane at night up to Schenzen China. Very rare is a flight through Indonesia and the Philippines without weather.

Interesting that the Lady Captain didn't speak, must have been a long time ago. My company has the highest percentage of females and also the highest percentage of minority's of any airline in the world. It's no big deal.

Took away the washer fluid because it was toxic to some one eyed newt in either England or Africa.
