Mozilla.com (formerly mozilla.org) released Firefox version 1.5 yesterday.

HAVE AT IT! http://www.getfirefox.com :goofy:

It has a bunch of new features, including faster browsing, and the ability to rearrange the tabs. They fixed the update system so it only updates what you need and update actually WORKS.

Read the details here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Enjoy!

Downloaded and installed flawlessly! I've been waiting a long time for this! :goofy:Still have yet to find the cool new features. Thanks, Mike!

EDIT: This program is WICKEDLY fast! It beats Firefox 1.0.7's butt! Anyone who has firefox, take the 30 seconds to update to 1.5! ;)

It will be nice to have update actually work now. But drag and drop URLs to tabs has been functional for some time. I've been using it for a while now.

Firefox 1.5 just crashed on me, probably because the sleazeball site I tripped across was trying to infect my PC with a javascript attack that only works on IE.

Thanks for the heads up on this!! I downloaded it and it's workin great. Don't have to clear the cashe and close before goin to the Red Board anymore!

Best,

Dave

It just crashed on me again, this time not on a sleazy site, just one that might have had a redirect. *sigh* I sent feedback. I might have to downgrade.

OK. Two more crashes. I figured I had it down when I disabled Ad Block. It just crashed due to the Acrobat Reader, which is prone to crashign anway.

I'll disable all of the extensions.

I've had about enough...

I remind myself this is why I got the Mac. This, and I can't get sound from flash on my Windows PC. Googling gets me a page at Macromedia where the problem is listed as "just is" in the forum since the beginning of the year. Try this. Try that, .... What BS. I'm too old fer dis crap.

I will try rebooting. Once.

...There is an alleged known memry leak especially with Acrobat.

I've been OK for the last few hours after rebooting...

I still get no sound from flash or my Real Alternative - Real Audio plug in. I think it's the audio driver but I just updated that. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the flash plug in.

This is my last copy of Windows.
