I was at Ralph McCormick's office (Pilot's Assoc. of Ark. or PAA) this morning when a big package arrived from Gaston's full of goodies for the kids that will attend the PAA aero-camp at Russellville (KRUE) this June.

Thanks to Jim Gaston

Russellville is only 70nm from Gaston's.

We could have a fly-out Saturday morning the 9th and fill the ramp with a large variety of GA.

Talk about disrupting the scheduled activities....! :)

That could work out. Last year, we had pilots from all over Arkansas fly in with interesting airplanes on one of the weekday mornings for "show and tell". We had a BT-13, Stearman, Ercoupe, twin diesel Diamond, others that I can't remember, and some just plane airplanes. We just started talking Tuesday at the Pilot's Assoc. meeting and yesterday with Ralph about possibly moving the fly-in to Saturday and moving the kids plane rides to earlier in the week so we could tie the fly-in to an airport open house in conjunction with the pilot's assoc. Even if that doesn't happen (the kids rides remain on Saturday), you guys could maybe help with the kids rides. We would like to see this kids aero-camp idea spread and the resulting chatter on the web board later would do a lot to publicize it. Last years was a big success for everyone involved (kids, parents, and us).
