I have..and love my 696.

I have it capturing tracks..

What I cant find, is how do I download the tracks it has accumulated to my PC?

It may be easy, but so far, not obvious.

Does the 696 come with MapSource? It should have been on a CD with the system.

If so, connect the GPS to the computer (probably via USB ) and MapSource should be able to find it and download the tracks. The GPS may store the tracks on an SD card. MapSource may find the card on your system and read the track off of it.

Assuming the above works, save the data as a GPX file and other software (like Google Earth) can do whatever with the data.
