Yeah, this^^^. When I did my panel upgrade, I got somewhere between 1.5 & 2 years Garmin Pilot for free. But that juts tells you how much Garmin stuff I put in my panel. Each piece of avionics came with a certain number of free months and my avionics shop gave me a code for some additional months.

If you buy the Garmin data packages, the upgrade from GP standard to GP Premium upgrade is free. ($99 if you buy it separately). So $109 for Standard, $99 more for Premium. Premium gets you geo-referenced approach plates, Safe Taxi, Terrain and Obstacle alerts plus a few odds and ends. You have to buy either the "Pilot Pak" or the "One Pak" to get the free upgrade, but if you are already buying it, it's a pretty good deal on GP.

We just bought and installed 2 garmin radios and a com panel but didn't see anything about a discount for GP. Oh well, it expires tomorrow, guess I'll just ren.
