Is anyone using an Android device with Garmin Pilot and a Bluetooth connection to either a Garmin GI275, GPS175, or GTX345 transponder? Do you get ADS-B weather updates at regular intervals? I can initially get weather, but it never updates on Garmin Pilot. Weather works on all the panel mounted avionics. It seems to be an issue with the Android version because it works on iOS devices.

I’ve tested GP Android a few times with a GTN using Samsung Tab As. Getting data from the GTN thru a GTX345 wasn’t the problem.

Did the GTN have a flight stream 510 that you were making a Wi-Fi connection to or did you connect to the Bluetooth of the GTX345?

I've used it before without much issue with a Samsung tablet connected to the FS-210 that feeds from the GTX-345. I sometimes have had BT connection issues, but generally if the tablet is on with BT on before the FS-210 is powered up, it connects properly.

That being said the Android version of GP can be a bit buggy. I've found when I can't fix the problem quickly, I can usually fix it with removing and reinstalling the app. A bit of a pain because the databases/charts need to be reloaded.

Something interesting/important I discovered recently is that the GP app subscription is device-agnostic. You can permission to run the app on three devices, and they can be a mix of Android and iOS. I recently started using an iPad to get the iOS version of GP, even though my phone is Android. User settings carry-across the OS's seamlessly.

This is a great feature of GP. I've been an android phone user for as long as android phones have been a thing, and have used Pixel phones since those became a thing because it's Android without third-party bloat. I tried an iPhone once when overseas and really disliked the experience. Regarding GP, I have it loaded on my Pixel as a back-up and convenience device, with an iPad Mini as my main flying device and an iPad Air (bought first and realised that it was too big for the cockpit) as my planning device. The iOS version of GP is just way, way better than the Android version, IMO, but it sure is nice to have the option!

My issue is with Android and a Bluetooth connection to a GI275. I do not have a FS510. The BT connection works on both a Samsung S9 tablet and Google Pixel 10, the issue is with ADS-B and SXM weather updates over BT. Traffic and flight plan transfers work. Weather will normally get the initial download, but no updates.

If someone can try using a BT connection, then on GP go into Devices > Status > ADS-B and under FIS-B Weather it lists all the weather products and minutes since last download. Do you get regular updates shown here?

I contacted Garmin for help, but they told me to take it to a dealer. They also would not confirm if they have tested GP Android with Bluetooth. The issue is not with my install since it works on iOS. ADS-B weather updates also work on Fltplan Go App. The issue must be with the Android GP version.

Have you tried a complete removal and reinstallation of GP? Also, be sure to remove any past BT connection to the android device and set that up fresh. Make sure the android device is on with BT activated before you power up the avionics.

I have tried all that. I have tried on several different Android devices with the same results.

only thing in your list that would give you weather is the gtx345 if it has adsb-in, can you connect directly to it? seems you have diagnose if it's gp or one of the 3 connections
I get weather reliably to my android phone, but it comes from my gdl50 or internet if i'm not very high

I've tried a GDL50 in a different aircraft and that does work. Yes my FIS-B weather comes from the GTX345, prior to getting the GI275 and GPS175 I did try with BT directly to the GTX345 with the same results. I also do not get any weather updates to the tablet of the SXM weather from a GDL69.

Also this does work on an iOS device which rules out any configuration issues in the aircraft.
