A group question if I may, When I create a flight plan on my ipad and use lat/lon fixes, I cannot transfer the plan using the connect feature to the gtn750 as it says something like flight plan locked. Is this because the GTN750 will only accept a flight plan using known waypoints?

I think you are on the right track

Remember, 750 is certified and Garmin Pilot is not, so there is some restrictions. I doubt it will accept GP altitude restrictions or approaches.

I do lat-long flights all the time, send to panel. I have a GTN750Xi and ForeFlight. If you have a flight plan that is locked, you need to find it in your catalog on the GTN and delete it. Using a name of a waypoint that isn't in the GTN DB is one cause. A lat-long will just get setup as a user waypoint.

Wha? How to get your ipad to talk to your 750??
$pecial $oftware?
