Here's an eye opening account of dual GI275 failure, granted the avionics shop did not configure their instruments correctly, but still a shocking result for a very experienced pilot.

I went back through to be sure that mine were installed correctly and indeed they are, but others should probably check as well. That being said when I got my "AHRS align" dual failure, both AI & HSI failed even with reversionary mode active, but that was after a prolonged steep turn which *shouldn't* occur in IMC.
