Garmin 530W terrain / TAWS date update...

It has been some time since I updated the Terrain / TAWS chip in my 530W.

I found nothing on Garmin's or Jepp's site about cost, how to do this, Will it work with my Skybound unit,,, >> Any help / direction would be appreciated!

Note that the terrain database isn't really regularly released, given the rather slow rate of plate tectonics.

The obstacle database, however, is updated every couple months. It used to be really easy to find this on the Garmin web page, but they seem to have improved things so that it's now quite difficult. In any case, at least as of a month or so ago, an obstacle database went for $49.95, and you bought this from Garmin, downloaded via their web site.

And in the interest of customer torture, you need to buy a separate programmer to do these:

Another programmer? WTF garmin!!!!!!!

I bet my avionics shop has a programmer. Then I can update
the obstacle database. Thanks for the fast response!
