Garmin 496 software Update

The main software upgrade doesn't seem to do much (something about support for larger NAND datacards). Any idea what the antenna software update provides?

Also, does the new GXM-40 antenna support the 496? Any idea?
 
I noticed RADAR, METARs and other related things don't show on my enroute 496 screen any more, but are on the weather pages after hitting menu menu. Is this a change or is my 496 acting up in some way?

Thanks Gary, I don't have the 496 but the post prompted me to check the site and found a softwear update for my 296

I think I had the same thing happen on my 396 and it turned out to be an option setting buried deep in the menu structure. Also there's a setting on the Map page itself:

"To turn XM Weather on or off on the Map Page:
Pres and hold MENU/Wx to toggle XM Weather on or off
Or
Press MENU, select Hide(Show) Weather, and then press Enter.
