Does anyone know how to take a Garmin430 Traffic (TIS) out of "Standby Mode"?
We recently had some avionics work done to our plane (installed a JPI 830 engine monitor...love it) and ever since then the TIS has been in Standby Mode. The JPI830 does talk to the GNS430 so I thought maybe a switch got mis-set. Avionics shop says that is not the cause.
Here is what I tried. I highlight Stanby on the TIS page by pressing the small right hand knob to get the cursur. I think select OPER and hit enter. That should work according to the manual but it doesn't. The unit stays in OPER mode for about 2-3 seconds and then reverts back to Standby.
Any thoughts or suggestions. I leave on a trip out west on Wednesday and I would love to have it working prior to then...
Thanks
