Garmin 400/500 Data cards

Hi, I now have what appear to be two corrupted WAAS data cards. I've tried loading the current nav data to the card, and when it goes into the 430W it appears to load OK, but there is no aviation nav data available.

Is there some some of diagnostic/reformatting process that can be done on the ancient cards?

Worst case Garmin now sells more "reasonably" prices 16mb card at a mere $160 now

The first time I updated the card in my recently acquired Cherokee with a 430waas, I had that happen.
I reflashed the card and reinstalled it, it still showed no data. I then pressed it in firmly and it’s worked ever since with two additional updates.
It’s a newer Jeppeson labeled card, but Im using a Garmin “reader” to reprogram it.
I’m told the older “Green” label Jepp cards won’t work with the newer Garmin reader/writer.
