BTW I used this unit over Thanksgiving. The WX was great that weekend so this was not something I needed but it was fun to play with. I did enjoy being able to scan METAR info while airborne.
I am picking the unit up this afternoon for my trip to Florida. Owing to weird WX coming into the Chicago area I have decided to leave Saturday and will spend the night enroute and arrive on Sunday afternoon. This will work out good as I will not have to do the whole flight in a day and then arrive at a new airport at night. At any rate the reason for flying myself is to also enjoy the flight. This gives me two days of flying instead of one.
The only thing that was kinda of a pain is that the unit did not have the yoke mount. It does take up a lot of space on my glare shield. During landing I pull it off for better vis.
