Garmin 300xl

I have the garmin 300xl installed, ifr certified. It is attached to an external obs and annuciator. I love the unit. You can hold on any point using the obs. I learned that the localizer points are in the database the other day, allowing you to use them for DME. Any other pointers you all may have on this unit?

It is a fine legacy unit, however, it is not approved to be used on RNAV SID, STAR, or ODP.
