I love these because they will operate from 4 AA batteries or you can use the 12V cig adapter.
I use one of these in my J-3 without electric and works great. 16 hours on AA batteries!

Good luck with the sale. I have one already, have had it for many years now, and it still works great. I have had folks make disparaging remarks about using such an old unit, but it amazes me what they will do. Maybe I am just a little technologically challenged.

My favorite function is the pointer! I always leave my airport in and when just goofing around in the Cub just follow the arrow back home. I never refresh the map or even look at it. I have kept this unit for backup but my main one still works fine and never gave up.
