Gardner Fly in

Did anyone make it to this fly in? I tried to fly to it but the wx wouldn't allow it. The winds at IXD were already gusting to 16 and were forecasted to gust over 20 and there were multiple rain showers around so I made a 180 and retreated, but I did get within 30 miles of Gardner. So close yet so far. Kansas is not a good place to be flying Cessna's due to the high winds all the time, I will stick to MO. lol.

Unfortunately I did not get back into town in time to make the fly in. They have some good ones there, nothing big and fancy, but usually a lot of older planes. Maybe next year.

I cannot disagree with you on the winds in KS this year. I fly out close to the Flint Hills and there is not a lot to stop the wind out there!
