GA making news again for all the wrong reasons

What is going on lately with GA besides it being summer? Even business jets made the news with NO fatal accidents during the first six months of this year. First time that has happened since 2009. Seems to me GA is heading in the wrong direction.

That's easy -- media wouldn't have time to talk about ANYTHING else, especially Donald!

It's much more dramatic to report on aviation accidents. The press doesn't really understand GA,and have no desire to learn. It's all about their by line.
