Looks like the weather might be nice, the wife is heading out on a mountain bike trip. Going to point the Bonanza somewhere within a 200 mile radius of Savannah. Ideas? Anyone in the area want to tag along?

KSSI was the first place I flew to when I moved here, Is about a 10 minute flight from my airport There were thunderstorms rolling in so i didn't have much time to explore the island, might go back and check it out some more.

Hot dog/hamburger cookout at KLRO, Mt. Pleasant (Charleston suburb) tomorrow morning at 1130 hrs. Put on by the East Cooper Pilots Association to say goodbye to the FBO boss who is leaving tomorrow to go to work for Boeing. Plenty of free ramp space.....come on up!

KSSI was the first place I flew to when I moved here, Is about a 10 minute flight from my airport There were thunderstorms rolling in so i didn't have much time to explore the island, might go back and check it out some more.

For a guy who generally likes mountains or at the very least the wilderness I've nonetheless always loved the area. I keep toying with an assignment to Glynco.

Well I moved here via Anchorage AK->Missoula MT->Savannah. I can't say I'm missing the MT weather with it forecast to be 77 and sunny tomorrow, but I do miss the 3 weeks of summer in the mountains and I'm a card carrying backcountry skiing junky.

Looked at fernandino beach, Fuel is two bucks a gallon more than the local going rates and they have a ramp fee if the fuel isn't good enough for you, PASS.

Me too but there's worse places to spent an 85F CAVU Mid January day than the St. Simons Island beach. Had what I'm going to call top 5 all time shrimp for lunch and went to the beach and didn't do a thing.
