GA barred from busiest airports.

What BS. When did this happen?
Unofficially, at the beginning of the shutdown for some of the airports, officially as of Monday, Nov 10 but the word is just getting out. Not unusual and not unexpected at the Class Bs. In other words, only the carriers, not even the bizjets, if I read the NOTAM correctly.

Now for the fortune-teller option....anyone want to place bets on when the NOTAM will end or be extended?

I don't like busy airports anyway. I don't even fly at my home field on weekends because of all the activity. A subset of the activity at any airport doesn't conform to standard practices at uncontrolled fields. When it really gets busy, that means there are a significant number of pilots that will surprise you with the choices they make. It is pretty rare that a surprise in the air is a good thing.

I feel like we’ve already had this conversation.

It is seven or eight pages in, though.

For which of the airports? Not all 40 in the order have implemented the NOTAM. The NOTAM and the order address two entirely different things.

The NOTAM has a (projected) end date in it.
