G430w: Range rocker hard to mash

The range selection rocker switch on our club's Garmin 430w is getting really hard to use. You have mash it very hard to get the map range to scroll up or down. It's clearly only a matter of time before this rocker switch gives up the ghost.

In terms of fixing this $5 switch, how much $ damage are we looking at?

I think Garmin charges a flat $800......or close to that. The good part is all the databases get updated as well.

The front buttons are on a membrane. New one costs about $750 and I don't think it's covered in there fix-it-all plan. Call and ask. If your 430 isn't already WAAS there is a mandatory $3000 upgrade before they'll fix anything.
