I'm flying a 2023 T182T and having intermittent issues with the PFD FMS nob. It seems after a half hour or so of flying, the PFD's FMS nob goes a little strange. When turning the nob to the right, the cursor will go to the left, or bounce back and forth. It will do it while turning to the left as well. Before engine start, there is no issue at all. Yes, it is still under warranty, but we are wondering if others are having this sort of issue as well.

Those knobs are one of the weaker parts of the G1000. Send it in for repair while it's still under warranty, it's not going to get better.

Yeah, that's the plan. I was just curious if any others have the same issue.

We've seen this in some of the G1000 CAP Cessnas. The rotary encoders go bad and start doing weird things. You would see this with the GNS series navigators too.

This a CAP aircraft I'm talking about.
